The other day I downloaded your book for a very small fee and read it twice and acted on my goal. It seems like yesterday, though it was 26 years ago. I stepped on a box that elevated me to a microphone sticking out of a large oak lectern.

Pulling the large chrome microphone toward me, I said my very first words as a public speaker. "Ladies and gentleman. We have much to do. Much to love. Much to hope for."

Those were the words that launched my 6th grade valedictorian address. I wish I could tell you that I gave another valedictorian speech, but that was the first and last of that sort. However, I went on to give many more presentations of various styles. By the time twenty rolled around - hundreds. And now in my late thirties, thousands.
