Now I don't have one of those gadgets because the highest temperature my pool ever got was about 32 degrees Celsius, which by the way is great for night swimming. If I got 3 or 4 really hot days I just didn't turn it on in the morning or I left the solar blanket off over night then I lost about 5 degrees.
